Movement

March Madness has a special meaning in our house this year, not at all related to sports. We are continuing to pack and clean like crazy in preparation for our move, but we've also had to take some time away from that for some special events. Last week we drove up to Oregon to find a house to rent. We found a beautiful place that we are so excited about (first photo)! Then, on our way back down the West coast, we stopped in Grants Pass for an extra special birthday celebration. My Mother-in-law turned 60! Lots of family flew in to hang out on the Rogue River and celebrate with her. We had so much fun! The girls collected wild flowers and clams from the riverbank, tried on Uncle Nick's boots, and soaked up lots of love from family that we rarely get to see. It was so fun, and we drove back to CA tired and happy to finish up the last of our duties here.

One such duty was a surgery I needed to have (the day after our travels no less!). Now I'm lounging in bed to recover from that and feeling a little useless in the packing/cleaning department. Patrick has been in bad-ass mode, so he's been taking care of the girls, myself, and the house duties while also getting things in order for our move! Hopefully next week I'll be good to help a bit, because that is our last week here. Then, we are Oregon bound.

As for our unschool-type life (my favorite thing and what I hope to write more about here), we are pretty much on pause. Of course, you never really pause when you unschool as you're always learning through living blah blah blah. But you know what I mean. No extra effort is being made! This is called 'learning how to be resilient and cope with huge life transitions.' So, that's pretty important I suppose!
